Elwood Man Injured in Truck Incident

The Elwood Fire Department responded Sunday afternoon to a call of a man being pinned between a trailer and a pickup truck. Firefighter J.P. Wright said the fire department responded to the accident about 4 p.m. in the 9000 block of Indiana 37 in Elwood. Wright said the man was supervising the trailer being lifted by a winch attached at the truck. The trailer tipped and pinned the man behind the knees. The man was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, and was expected to recover.
