The so-called “racinos” at the state’s two horse racing tracks seem to also be increasing betting and interest in betting on the horses. Many of those playing the slot machines also seem to be visiting the horse betting side of the tracks and orienting themselves on how to bet there as well. Rick Moore, director of racing at Anderson’s of Hoosier Park, spoke recently to the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.

A New Castle woman has been arrested on three charges of Social Security fraud. 49-year old Viola Whalen is accused of receiving benefit payments for one of her children whose father had died.
