A woman police wanted in connection with that June 17 shooting on Marion’s west side turned herself in to the Grant County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday afternoon. Brittany Sheet of Gas City, turned herself in on an assisting a criminal warrant. Police believe she drove one of the vehicles involved in the shooting spree. The shooting in the 500 block of Butler Avenue at midday June 17 left three people injured.

A Middletown woman who used the synthetic marijuana called “Spice” before dying this summer, didn’t die because of that. So says Madison County Coroner Ned Dunnichay after investigating the death of 29-year old Lilly Helsley.
