Westfield officials have proposed an agreement that would let them have ordinance violation cases heard in Noblesville City Court. If an agreement is reached by Jan. 1 between the municipalities, people accused next year of violating Westfield ordinances would have to go before Noblesville City Court Judge Gregory Caldwell to have their cases heard. They currently are heard in county court. The agreement would have to be approved by the city councils, board of works and mayors of both jurisdictions before it’s a done deal.
