Medicare Part D Signup Now Underway

LifeStream Services will offer a series of “Medicare D Sign-Up” sessions through the end of December to help residents of Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Henry, Madison and Randolph counties sign up for the prescription drug component for those on Medicare and Medicaid. Trained SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) counselors will be on hand to help Medicare D participants determine which prescription program would be best. Residents can call 2-1-1 to find the date and location nearest them.

WLBC LAND SOLDIER KILLED IN IRAQ
09.09.10A soldier from Wells County has been killed in a firefight in Iraq. 26-year old Phillip Jenkins of Decatur was part of a security operation at an Iraqi army base when an Iraqi soldier opened fire on the Americans. Jenkins and another soldier were killed, and several others were wounded.
