Temporary Layoffs at Chrysler in Kokomo

Employees at two Kokomo Chrysler transmission plants are staying home for the week. The Kokomo Tribune reports today that about 1,500 employees at Indiana Transmission Plant I & II are on temporary layoff this week due to decreased demand for transmissions, according to Chrysler. The company says it is based on market demand.
