Zionsville police have arrested three people, all Ball State students, who they say took seven band instruments from the high school, intending to sell them on the Internet. Facing charges of burglary and theft are Shawn P. Blankenship, a 2006 graduate of Zionsville Community High School, John Guilliam, Carmel, and Jillian Smith, Muncie. The three are Ball State University students. They are suspected of entering the Zionsville Community High School band room in the early morning hours of Nov. 9 and leaving with nearly $16,000 worth of instruments.
