Concerned Anderson Schools Parents to Meet Sunday

Parents of Anderson Community Schools students are scheduling a meeting this weekend. They are concerned about the news that officials were privately discussing options to close schools. During a Nov. 11 meeting of the ACS board, Superintendent Mikella Lowe provided board members with a list of options concerning possible school closings as the board eyes cutting $5 million from its budget. The parents will meet at the Madison Park church building on Scatterfield Road at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
