Not so fast in closing those two Centers in Muncie. The Delaware County Board of Commissioners has come to the apparent rescue of the Buley and Ross community centers, pledging economic development dollars to keep them open. Indiana’s unemployment rate for January is 9-point-7 percent, the same as the revised numbers for December. State department of workforce development commissioner Teresa Voors says the rate “appears to be holding relatively stable based on the slowing of job losses.” Indiana continues to have the lowest unemployment rate among neighboring states.
