Mount Summit residents won’t have to see an ethanol plant in their back yards. A lawsuit between Blue River Ethanol LLC and its neighbors came to a settlement after nearly 20 months of litigation. Plant founder Julian Gehman said the lawsuit was dropped in exchange for the plant deciding not to develop the property in Henry County.

After a month of protests, walkouts and bitter debate, Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. The Senate gave final approval to right-to-work 28-22, unchanged from the first vote on the bill last month. Governor Daniels signed the bill into law about three hours after the senate vote.
A man was killed Wednesday night in a one-vehicle accident along Ind. 3 in southern Delaware County.
