A committee advocating switching Fishers to a city was so impressed with the turnout and discussion at its first public meeting that it has promised to hold more public meetings. More than 30 residents of the state’s eighth-largest community by population attended the meeting Sunday at the Fishers library. The CityYes political action committee left with seven new volunteers and 15 more signatures on its petition to get the issue on the ballot

An unidentified man robbed the Star Financial Bank in Lyndenbrook place yesterday at 9:30am. Police say the suspect is a six foot tall black male that weighed about 250 pounds. No suspect was found, but the police are checking the banks surveillance video for clues.
