Former Representative and the 2008 Democratic candidate for Lieutenant governor, Dennie Oxley 2, is being formally charged with misrepresenting himself as a state lawmaker to avoid arrest. Oxley and a 21 year old woman were drunk at a downtown Indy gas station early Friday, when Oxley claimed immunity from arrest because the legislature was still in session. Marion County prosecutor Carl Brizzi says the 21 year old will not face charges.

Center grove schools and the teachers union have reached a tentative contract agreement. Members are set to meet Monday to vote on the deal. Details of the agreement will not be released until Monday night.
Carmel officials say they have saved money in the past year. mayor Jim Brainerd says they saved 1.6 million dollars in it‘s general fund due to responsible spending. He says that left a cash balance of 9.9 million dollars. The city uses that money as an emergency fund.
