The State Department of Health is reminding Hoosiers to protect themselves from the West Nile virus this weekend. West Nile is transmitted by Mosquitoes, and mosquitoes bear there young in standing water. It is important for people to dump any standing water out on their property. People can also wear insect repellent containing DEET to ward off the insects.

After a month of protests, walkouts and bitter debate, Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. The Senate gave final approval to right-to-work 28-22, unchanged from the first vote on the bill last month. Governor Daniels signed the bill into law about three hours after the senate vote.
A man was killed Wednesday night in a one-vehicle accident along Ind. 3 in southern Delaware County.
