Indiana’s two largest College systems could soon raise tuition for next year. Indiana University President Michael McRobbie recommended instate tuition hikes of 4.6 percent this year and 4.8 percent for next year at the main campus in Bloomington, and the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis. Ivy Tech Community College has proposed a tuition increase of almost 4.9 percent at its 23 campuses all around the state. The tuition increases would affect thousands of students, Ivy Tech had 120 thousand students taking classes, and IU had almost 119 thousand students. The next closest University in enrollment was Purdue with 76 thousand students.
