Illusionist Bill Blagg III pulled off an impressive trick in Anderson Saturday. He correctly predicted the front page content of the Halloween edition of The Herald Bulletin – a month in advance! The cassette tape in his own voice predicted a barbershop closing, pictures of kids in costumes, and an Indiana State Police investigation of a councilman. While two headlines could be coincidence, the ISP investigation wasn’t known by even newspaper staff until Friday. And the tape was on display in the front window of the theatre right up until show time.

Center grove schools and the teachers union have reached a tentative contract agreement. Members are set to meet Monday to vote on the deal. Details of the agreement will not be released until Monday night.
Carmel officials say they have saved money in the past year. mayor Jim Brainerd says they saved 1.6 million dollars in it‘s general fund due to responsible spending. He says that left a cash balance of 9.9 million dollars. The city uses that money as an emergency fund.
