The Chamber of Commerce for Anderson & Madison County and Anderson University will honor a deserving local entrepreneur and award scholarships to outstanding students of the Falls Schools of Business on Friday, December 4, at 12 noon at the Anderson Country Club. The Entrepreneur Award will be given to Mary Jamerson, president and CEO of Myers Autoworld and Ford Autoworld. Cost for the program is $15 per person and $10 for students. For reservations, call the Chamber of Commerce at 642-0264.

Center grove schools and the teachers union have reached a tentative contract agreement. Members are set to meet Monday to vote on the deal. Details of the agreement will not be released until Monday night.
Carmel officials say they have saved money in the past year. mayor Jim Brainerd says they saved 1.6 million dollars in it‘s general fund due to responsible spending. He says that left a cash balance of 9.9 million dollars. The city uses that money as an emergency fund.
