Hundreds of Hoosier trees are headed overseas as part of an effort to provide holiday cheer to soldiers and military families. Indiana tree farmers are donating their goods again this year — as part of the “trees for troops” program. About 16,000 trees are being delivered to more than 50 military bases in the U.S. and overseas as part of the program.

Center grove schools and the teachers union have reached a tentative contract agreement. Members are set to meet Monday to vote on the deal. Details of the agreement will not be released until Monday night.
Carmel officials say they have saved money in the past year. mayor Jim Brainerd says they saved 1.6 million dollars in it‘s general fund due to responsible spending. He says that left a cash balance of 9.9 million dollars. The city uses that money as an emergency fund.
