From the Herald Bulletin – Golden House Chinese Restaurant is closed for repairs, according to a sign on the door confirmed by the longtime downtown business’s owner Susan Mak. It is unclear when the business might reopen. The Madison County Health Department did not have anything to do with the restaurant’s closing.

Haiti Fundraiser Sunday at Grace United Methodist Church

Members of the church will be serving a pork loin dinner with all the trimmings. Free will donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to Haiti Relief.
