In Muncie, a pair of strong-arm robberies were reported Monday night with thieves taking drugs and money. A man was robbed outside the Rich Gas Station at 1900 S. Madison St. around 6:30 p.m. by two black males that struck him in the neck. The suspects made off with the victim’s wallet and pills and fled on foot. Another victim reported his iPod was stolen while he was walking downtown around 1:30 a.m. There was no description of a suspect.

After a month of protests, walkouts and bitter debate, Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. The Senate gave final approval to right-to-work 28-22, unchanged from the first vote on the bill last month. Governor Daniels signed the bill into law about three hours after the senate vote.
A man was killed Wednesday night in a one-vehicle accident along Ind. 3 in southern Delaware County. The victim — whose name had not been released late Wednesday pending notification of relatives — was pronounced dead at the scene by Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn.
