Anderson Receiving Money for Transit System

The city will receive more than $1.5 million for its transit system, thanks to a round of federal stimulus grants announced by Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood on Friday. The award will allow the City of Anderson Transit System to replace one 30-foot diesel bus, two gas vans and three support vehicles and will provide operating assistance to CATS.

Governor Signs Right-To-Work Into Law
02.02.12After a month of protests, walkouts and bitter debate, Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. The Senate gave final approval to right-to-work 28-22, unchanged from the first vote on the bill last month. Governor Daniels signed the bill into law about three hours after the senate vote.
