Eaton Water Main Break

Eaton had a water main break yesterday, which forced the dismissal of a school, and now Indiana Avenue, from east of Ind. 3 to Plum Street, will remain closed indefinitely. A boil water order is required until further notice – normal procedure after any water main break.

WLBC LAND SOLDIER KILLED IN IRAQ
09.09.10A soldier from Wells County has been killed in a firefight in Iraq. 26-year old Phillip Jenkins of Decatur was part of a security operation at an Iraqi army base when an Iraqi soldier opened fire on the Americans. Jenkins and another soldier were killed, and several others were wounded.
