March 14-20 is Severe Weather Preparedness Week

Governor Mitch Daniels has declared March 14 through 20 as severe weather preparedness week in Indiana. Statewide tornado drills have been planned for March 17. This statewide drill will help ensure that the statewide Indiana EAS network is operating properly and is ready to respond in the event of a real emergency. The use of the live event code is intended to ensure that information will be relayed in a timely manner.

Governor Signs Right-To-Work Into Law
02.02.12After a month of protests, walkouts and bitter debate, Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. The Senate gave final approval to right-to-work 28-22, unchanged from the first vote on the bill last month. Governor Daniels signed the bill into law about three hours after the senate vote.
Wednesday Night Crash Kills One
02.02.12A man was killed Wednesday night in a one-vehicle accident along Ind. 3 in southern Delaware County.
