Testimony has begun in the trial of a Muncie woman accused of encouraging her husband to sexually abuse a mentally disabled woman in their care. Both 49-year old Patricia Tackett and her husband, 51-year old Duane Tackett, are standing trial on rape, sexual misconduct and child seduction charges. Delaware County Prosecutor Mark McKinney says sex acts were performed on the girl beginning when she was 14—she has the mental capacity of an eight-year old.

After a month of protests, walkouts and bitter debate, Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. The Senate gave final approval to right-to-work 28-22, unchanged from the first vote on the bill last month. Governor Daniels signed the bill into law about three hours after the senate vote.
A man was killed Wednesday night in a one-vehicle accident along Ind. 3 in southern Delaware County.
