STATE DROPS SUIT AGAINST TRUSTEE

State officials are dropping a lawsuit filed against a township trustee from southern Delaware County. The Attorney General’s office had filed the suit against Monroe Township Trustee Nicki Johnson over $19-hundred in late payment fees on a fire truck loan. The township’s bank has agreed to waive the late fees because the township didn’t receive a draw down on tax revenue in 2007 until the final day of the year.
