A town board meeting has turned into a shouting match in the small Madison County town of Summitville. It happened Monday night as unhappy constituents questioned board members about funding for the town’s Main Street program and the operation of the town’s police department. Profanities flew between the audience and council members at one point but no one was arrested.

WLBC LAND SOLDIER KILLED IN IRAQ
09.09.10A soldier from Wells County has been killed in a firefight in Iraq. 26-year old Phillip Jenkins of Decatur was part of a security operation at an Iraqi army base when an Iraqi soldier opened fire on the Americans. Jenkins and another soldier were killed, and several others were wounded.
