A new after school procedure is frustrating some parents at a Muncie elementary school. Storer Elementary now requires students who don’t ride buses home to wait inside the building for their parent’s car to get to the front of the pickup line, then get a teacher escort outside to the waiting vehicle. As many as 100 cars have been lined up on some days, but Principal Ingrid Grubb says student safety is more important than parents waiting in line.

After a month of protests, walkouts and bitter debate, Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. The Senate gave final approval to right-to-work 28-22, unchanged from the first vote on the bill last month. Governor Daniels signed the bill into law about three hours after the senate vote.
A man was killed Wednesday night in a one-vehicle accident along Ind. 3 in southern Delaware County.
