The Anderson City Council will introduce its proposed 2011 budget and salary ordinances on Thursday. The city’s budget deficit is expected to grow from $2.9 million at the end of 2010 to about $4.9 million by the end of 2011. The salary ordinance includes an
across-the-board wage freeze for city employees.

Governor Signs Right-To-Work Into Law
02.02.12After a month of protests, walkouts and bitter debate, Indiana will become the 23rd right-to-work state. The Senate gave final approval to right-to-work 28-22, unchanged from the first vote on the bill last month. Governor Daniels signed the bill into law about three hours after the senate vote.
Wednesday Night Crash Kills One
