Kokomo police arrested a man in connection to the shootings of three men near downtown Thursday. Investigators said Turama Stitts was taken into custody after they received a tip from a witness. 48-year-old Argena Williams was shot in the head. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died a short time later. 40-year-old Miriam Mallory was found shot in the head and about an hour later, officers were called back to the same area, where a third person, 51-year-old Ricky Patterson was found shot in the head. Mallory and Patterson remain hospitalized. Detectives said they were still trying to determine a motive behind the shootings.
