AU Fire Prompts Evacuation

Anderson University students were evacuated from Myers Hall on Monday when a trash can caught fire in a basement laundry room. Anderson Fire Department Chief Phillip R. Rogers says the cause has not yet been determined and no students were injured. The fire was extinguished before firefighters arrived and no equipment was damaged, according to university spokesman, Chris Williams.

Two 10-Year-Olds Arrested On Arson Charges
18.05.12Muncie police have apprehended the two individuals they believe are responsible for setting at least one of three recent arson fires in the southeast side Industry neighborhood. However, the two alleged arsonists probably won’t do any prison time – They’re both 10 years old. Both youngsters will likely be charged with arson in juvenile court.
