Police say that twelve hours before Kenneth Bailey Jr. went on a shooting rampage in Pendleton early Friday morning, his estranged wife, Claudia, sought and was granted a temporary protection order. The order prohibited Kenneth Bailey from having any contact with his wife. In court documents, Claudia Bailey described several instances in the past several years when her husband threatened to kill her and people she worked with. He also threatened to kill himself. It is unclear if Kenneth Bailey knew about the protective order. Friday’s shooting spree left two police officers wounded, an innocent bystander and a police K9 dead, before Bailey reportedly turned the gun on himself.
