Sallie May To Add 200 New Jobs

Student lender Sallie Mae announced Friday it would expand its Muncie workforce, becoming one of the community’s largest employers in the process. Local officials and a crowd of Sallie Mae workers gathered Friday morning at the lender’s contact center office in the Airpark industrial park on the city’s north side to announce that the expansion, which is due to be completed by mid-2013, would mean 200 new employees.

INDOT Mandate To Help Accomodate Holiday Traffic
24.05.13Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
