Ball State University’s board of trustees on Thursday canceled a meeting scheduled for today during which it had planned to take action on the acquisition of the Hiatt Printing store to make way for a $25-million hotel, dormitory, conference center and restaurants.
University spokesman Tony Proudfoot says the university is engaged in formal and informal negotiations with the David Hiatt Trust. Chris Hiatt, owner of the property in question, says Ball State University has not contacted him and there is no settlement.
