The Delaware County Health Department has confirmed that the West Nile Virus was detected in the mosquito population during regular surveillance in two testing locations at the end of last month. There have been no reports of human or animal illness in Delaware County. If you are experiencing problems with mosquitoes please contact DCHD at 747-7721, ext 232. Leave a detailed message on the complaint line with the full address of the site in question, and a contact name and a call back number. Or you can visit the Delaware county website to file a complaint electronically.

Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
