South Carolina authorities found a missing Madison County man in Lake Keowee Monday morning. The family of 22-year-old Brian Lewis Smith of Anderson reported him missing Saturday morning. Oconee County Fire Chief Charlie King says Smith was visiting his grandparents who live on the lake when he was last seen Friday night. Officials began to search the lake after finding the family‘s paddle boat in the water. The victim was located in the main river channel about a half mile away from his family‘s property.

Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
