West Nile Popping Up Locally

Health officials in Madison, Delaware and Blackford Counties have confirmed the presence of West Nile in a sample of mosquitoes recently collected. To date, mosquito groups in 44 Indiana counties have tested positive for the virus. Indiana’s first human cases of West Nile virus have been confirmed in Hamilton and Marion counties.

Staff Relations Manager Barb Cross says she‘s among numerous Red Cross staffers nationwide on the ground and assessing the needs.
