Downtown Muncie is the place to be tonight for “ArtsWalk.” From 5:00 – 9:00pm downtown Muncie will be alive with music ensembles, street performers, artisan booths, new exhibits in the art galleries along with local works of art for under $40. The spotlight of the event will be the Grand Opening of the Canan Commons beginning at 7:15pm. The ceremony will feature guest speakers, America’s Hometown Band, and fireworks to celebrate the opening of the new park and entertainment venue.

Ball State University junior Allison Jacob was crowned the 2013 500 Festival Queen Saturday. Purdue sophomore Bailey Farrer of Royal Center and IUPUI senior Marlie Mathis of Greenwood were selected as Court Princesses.
