Owner Of Biting Dog Faces Jail & Fine

A Hartford City woman faces the possibility of jail time and fines after being criminally charged over an incident that saw her dog bite a pedestrian. Authorities say 30-year-old Larra Spahr’s dog was able to escape from her car and bit a woman walking near the Dollar General Store at 1304 N. Walnut Street. The dog did not have it’s rabies shots.
Spahr is facing 240 days in jail and $1500 in fines. An initial hearing is set Oct. 23 in Blackford Superior Court.
