Fire Destroys Anderson Mobile Home

The Anderson Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a mobile home at Shady Lane Trailer Park on Cross Street Monday morning. Chief Phillip Rogers says the occupants, a father and his sons, woke to heavy black smoke about 5:30 a.m., but were able to escape unharmed. It took 16 firefighters about two hours to bring the fire under control; there were no injuries.
