The state has offered to settle a complaint against a Randolph County pork producer. State environmental officials say Aaron Chalfant Farms sprayed 200-thousand gallons of hog manure onto a field upstream of a major fish kill during rainy weather in June of 2010. An estimated 107-thousand-650 fish died. The proposed agreed order calls for a civil penalty of 5-thousand dollars.
