Madison County Council Passes 2013 Budget

The Madison County Council has passed a $40.6 million budget for fiscal 2013 that includes money for additional sheriff deputies and road paving and maintenance.
The final 4-2 council vote came on party lines, with Republicans in support, and with two Democrats voting against and another abstaining.

INDOT Mandate To Help Accomodate Holiday Traffic
24.05.13Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
