Muncie Community Schools in partnership with the Delaware County Prosecutor, Delaware County Sheriff and the Muncie Police Department have launched a new district initiative called “Text-A-Tip” in another effort to ensure a safe environment for students.
Text-A-Tip allows students to use their cell phone to text and report issues such as bullying, drugs, fights, and any threats relating to campus safety directly to the MCS Chief of Security & Operations as well as to school administrators.

A monstrous tornado at least a half-mile wide with winds up to 200 mph ripped through the Oklahoma city of Moore Monday. Officials say the death toll is expected to rise while more than 200 are being treated at hospitals.The National Weather Service says the twister was at least an EF4.21.05.13
