Police are still trying to figure out exactly what led up to a murder-suicide that left three persons dead early Tuesday in northern Henry County. 38-year-old Ruth Webb and 42-year-old Robert Morrow of Markleville were shot to death in Webb’s home on County Road 200 West, north of US 36. Henry County officers received a call shortly after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning reporting a disturbance at the home. A third person, 39-year-old Johnny Webb was found dead in his van of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The van was found by officers in the area of County Road 850 North and 300 West at about 7:30 a.m. Johnny Webb is Ruth Webb’s ex-husband, and is the suspected shooter. Authorities Johnny Webb went to his ex-wife’s home and shot both Ruth Webb and Morrow, then took his own life a short time later.

Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
