Anderson Police Step Up Security

Anderson police are stepping up security at an area park following a series of robberies. At least four cases have been reported at Shadyside Park. No serious injuries have been reported. However, one victim told police he was struck in the back of the head and his money was stolen. Another victim reported being robbed at knife point while riding his bicycle.

Staff Relations Manager Barb Cross says she‘s among numerous Red Cross staffers nationwide on the ground and assessing the needs. Cross says she always feels personally blessed to be able to help those who are in trouble.
