Mother Files Suit Over Son’s Death

The mother of a former New Castle Correctional Facility inmate has filed suit over her son’s death while in custody. Devin Gibson was 34 when he died at an Indianapolis hospital in 2010. The lawsuit, filed in Henry Circuit Court 3 last week by Deborah Robinson, alleges the facility was “understaffed to meet the medical needs of its inmate population,” and that the staff on hand had “inadequate training.”
