Brown To Be Sentenced Monday

Martez Brown, one of the co-defendants in the 2010 double homicide of Stephen Streeter and Keya Prince, will face sentencing Monday at 3 p.m. in Circuit Court I. Madison County prosecutor Rodney Cummings withdrew a plea agreement for 17-year-old Brown after he admitted to lying under oath. Cummings decided to move forward with a trial, but says he elected not to charge Brown with perjury. Brown was convicted on two counts of murder and charges of robbery and theft on Nov. 1.
