One of the defendants in the Muncie raid on local convenience stores selling designer drugs pleaded guilty and was sentenced this week. Manpreetpal “Sunny” Singh entered a plea of guilty to a modified charge of dealing in a counterfeit substance. Singh received an agreed-upon sentence of 364 days in jail. In this case, Cannon ordered that Singh serve the sentence under home detention and electronic monitoring through Delaware County Community Corrections.

Contractors moved barrels and barricades along interstate work sites Friday to help accommodate Memorial Weekend traffic. The Indiana Department of Transportation mandated that there be no work in construction zones over the holiday weekend and Indiana State Police will be closely monitoring those sites.
