Board Accepts Resignation Of County Recorder

The Madison County Board of County Commissioners formally accepted the resignation of Angela Shelton as County Recorder and began the transition for a new official to take charge of the office. The president of the Indiana Recorders Association – Mary Jo Phares – called the commissioners and offered to help. Elected recorders from other counties may also fill in until a new recorder is selected. A new successor is expected to be named in the next several weeks.
