Late night talk show host David Letterman welcomed media icon Oprah Winfrey to Ball State University yesterday afternoon. The two talked in front of more than 33-hundred people at Emens Auditorium as part of the Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series. During the 90+ minute conversation, which featured questions via social media, Winfrey talked about her struggles growing up as well as building her career.

Staff Relations Manager Barb Cross says she‘s among numerous Red Cross staffers nationwide on the ground and assessing the needs.
