CSX Says No Train Speed Changes Planned For Anderson

CSX says it has no plans to increase the speed of its trains through Anderson – that’s according to a CSX spokeswoman on Thursday. That’s a sharp contrast to what might occur in Muncie, where city officials learned earlier this week that the long-haul freight carrier planned to double the speed of trains through town from 30 to 60 miles-per-hour.
Anderson’s municipal speed limit for trains is 30 mph.
