INDOT To Rebuild SR26 Through Portland

INDOT has scheduled a public hearing for residents and businesses to learn about—and comment upon—a proposed reconstruction of State Road 26 through Portland. The hearing is slated for Thursday at 6 p.m. in the East Jay Middle School Cafeteria. In addition to replacing the road, the project calls for new curbs and gutters, sidewalks, drive approaches and storm sewer trunk lines.
